ABOUT DAVID
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, my passion for baseball began while playing Little League after moving to Southern California. After winning the 1999 Colorado State Tournament with Cherry Creek High School and being named the Gatorade Player of the Year in 2000, I went on to Penn State University. Transferring to Rice University in 2001 success quickly followed with the Owls reaching the College World Series in 2002 and eventually winning the NationalChampionship in 2003. I left Rice after being drafted in the first round of the 2003 MLB Draft to pursue a career in Major League Baseball.
Over the last several years I've focused on learning Biomechanics of Major League Pitchers as well as taking courses in analytics.
In 2016 I will be entering my 10th Major League Season. I have been working on earning my degree from Rice University while pursuing internships with the New York Yankees and the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. During that time I have been developing the skills, qualities and experiences that can help any organization.
Proud husband to Andrea and father of two (DZ and JD).
